Reno had a little bit of everything in 2010, both good news and bad. Our local economic doldrums continued, but a few positive signs surfaced toward the end of the year. The 2010 mid-term elections were interesting and resulted in some new developments, including the election of Nevada's first Hispanic governor and the re-election of U.S. Senator Harry Reid over tea party-backed Sharron Angle. Nevada's Wolf Pack football team beat Boise State in a dramatic game at Mackay Stadium. The weather brought record rain in October and then continued with the biggest early-season snowfall the Sierra has had in decades. Here are more of our Reno / Tahoe big stories from 2010...
