Holiday Family Fun at the May Museum

The annual Tuba Christmas and Sierra Watercolor Society Open House at the Wilbur D. May Museum will be on Saturday, December 4. The Watercolor Society's Open House will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. featuring the "Magic of Watercolor" exhibit. The exhibit will be on display December 17.

The annual Tuba Christmas concert will begin at 3 p.m. You will enjoy holiday carols arranged in four part harmony performed by local tuba, baritone, and euphonium players. All area tuba, baritone, and euphonium musicians are invited to participate. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m., followed by rehearsal at 1 p.m. and the concert at 3 p.m.

On Saturday, December 11, a holiday open house with children's stories in an enchanted forest, Christmas crafts, carols, and the annual Gingerbread House Contest will be held at the museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sierra Watercolor Society will be offering a free holiday watercolor workshop for children age 7 to 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. the same day. The workshop is limited to 50 children. Call the May Museum at (775) 785-5961 to sign up.
