The big story of this 2010 election in Nevada is the win by incumbent U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid over Republican challenger Sharron Angle. The campaign was nasty from the start and Reid was trailing in the polls right up to election day. In the end, though, he polled higher than Angle on the day it counted and will be returning to the Senate for a fifth term.

In the Truckee Meadows, it was a good election day for incumbents. Reno Mayor Bob Cashell and City Council members Dwight Dortch and Sharon Zadra were all re-elected. Sparks Mayor Geno Martini is also headed for another term.

Republican Brian Sandoval easily topped Democrat Rory Reid in winning the governor's race. Incumbents in other statewide offices had a good night, with all winning re-election. The only congressional delegation incumbent on the ropes is Democrat Dina Titus, who at this writing was trailing Republican challenger Joe Heck in District 3.

Here are the election night results from Washoe County and around Nevada. Now we get to live with the choices we've made.

For those interested in following election results across the country, here are a few choices... choose your flavor.

Harry Reid is so currupt. There was no way he was going to lose the election.
