If you are still not registered to vote, there are only a few days left to do so. To register by mail, your application must be postmarked by this Saturday, October 2, 2010. Walk-in registration will be accepted through Tuesday, October 12. Places to register in person include DMV offices and the Washoe County Registrar of Voters office, 1001 E. Ninth St. in Reno. Absentee ballots must be requested by October 26. The latest numbers I've seen indicate something of a reversal in registration numbers from 2008 - GOP voters have made a comeback and now slightly outnumber Dems.

Early voting in Washoe County begins on October 16 and runs through October 29. You can early vote at any of numerous locations throughout Washoe County. If you don't early vote, you'll have to go to your designated polling place on the official Election Day of Tuesday, November 2. For more information about this important election, such as a candidate list and initiatives you'll be asked to decide, refer to my article General Election 2010 in Reno, Sparks, and Washoe County.
