Following a 27-13 road win over the BYU Cougars last Saturday, Nevada Wolf Pack football has become a ranked team for the first time in over 60 years. The Pack is now 25th in both the Associated Press and USA Today/ESPN polls. With a record of 4-0, the Wolf Pack is on a roll that is in stark contrast to last season's start when the team went 0-4 before their first win.

Next up is the Wolf Pack's most popular game, the Battle for the Fremont Cannon. This intrastate rivalry is with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and will be played in Las Vegas on Saturday, October 2. The Wolf Pack has won the last five years.

Another big game is sure to be vs. Boise State, ranked #3 in the nation. The game will be at home in Mackay Stadium on November 26. In last year's matchup, Nevada lost 44-33.

Wolf Pack home football games are popular. If you plan on going, be sure to check out the information about getting tickets in my Wolf Pack football article. Home games are played at Mackay Stadium, along N. Virginia Street at the north end of the UNR campus.
