The 2010 Nevada Wolf Pack football season is underway. Coach Chris Ault and his team have already notched their first win, defeating Eastern Washington 49-24 at home. This win puts the Wolf Pack already one up over last season, which started with four straight loses. Next up this Saturday, September 11 at 7:30 p.m. is Colorado State. It's a home game to be played in Mackay Stadium on the UNR campus.

No matter what the standings are at the time, the Wolf Pack's most popular game is usually the Battle for the Fremont Cannon. This intrastate rivalry is with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and will be played in Las Vegas on Saturday, October 2. The Wolf Pack won last year. Another big game is sure to be vs. Boise State, ranked by some as the #1 college team in the nation. In last year's matchup, Nevada lost 44-33.

Wolf Pack home football games are popular. If you plan on going, be sure to check out the information about getting tickets in my Wolf Pack football article. Home games are played at Mackay Stadium, along N. Virginia Street at the north end of the UNR campus.
