2010 Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-Off

Imagine a big outdoor party dedicated to cooking and eating ribs and you've got the essence of the Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-Off. The 2010 event runs from Wednesday, September 1 through Monday, September 6, and it should be just as yummy as ever. For attendees like us, the focus is on fun and good food, with a healthy helping of free entertainment on several stages around Victorian Square in Sparks. For the rib cooking teams, a panel of judges handles the serious part of the cooking competition, but we can participate by casting a vote for the People's Choice Award or entering the World Rib Eating Championships.

This is a family friendly party. There will be a Rib Cook-Off Kids' Area with a variety of amusements designed to keep children happy and give parents a break. It's recommended that you take advantage of the free parking and shuttle service; avoid the frustration of trying to find a space in the limited lots around Victorian Square. Save your energy for eating, drinking, and being merry.
