Burning Man, variously described as everything from a huge art festival to debauchery in the desert, will be held from August 30 through September 6. Black Rock City will once again spring forth from the barren playa of the Black Rock Desert, becoming one of Nevada's biggest cities for a week. If you are still waffling about going, read on to learn about last-minute tickets, then read further if you are a virgin (in this context, someone who has never been to Burning Man). It's not quite as intimidating as it may sound, but you really need to have some idea of what you're getting into before heading out to the playa.

All tickets at this point are $300. Ticketless would-be Burners can get tickets online until midnight PST on August 27. Walk-in outlet sales go through August 28 (the only place in all of Nevada is The Melting Pot, 1049 S. Virginia Street in Reno) or until supplies run out. If you venture out to the playa without a ticket, you can get them at the Black Rock City box office up to midnight, September 2. Get all the details from the 2010 Burning Man Ticket Information page.
