If you (like me) are among those a tad short on entertainment bucks, it's not too late to catch a free movie this summer. Various venues around the Reno / Tahoe area are still screening their free flicks and you are still invited. Check out my listing of free movies around the area, then head out and enjoy. Most are family friendly features, but there are a few exceptions. Be sure to check what will be showing on the screen before showing up at the movie. Here are some places to have fun and enjoy free feature and/or classic films...

- Summer Family Movie Series at Sierra View Library
- Free Tuesday Night Movies at the University of Nevada, Reno
- Free Summer Movies at Squaw Valley
- Free Summer Movies at the Village at Northstar
Poolside movie nights at the Grand Sierra Resort are no longer free, but they are cheap. A daily pass for a family of four is $10, which includes a movie, food discounts, and access to the swimming pool.
