Artown is in the middle of its 2010 run and there is plenty going on. Here are a few of the activities and shows you can get out and enjoy over the next few days. Learn about lots more from the Artown online calendar. Numerous other events will be happening up to Artown's free grand finale at Wingfield Park on July 31.

World Music Series: Afro-Cuban All Stars - Wednesday, July 14, 7:30 p.m. Lively Cuban-style music at a free concert in Wingfield Park.

Cirque De La Symphonie with the Reno Chamber Orchestra - Thursday, July 15, 7 p.m. Cirque artists perform with the Reno Chamber Orchestra at the Grand Sierra Resort Grand Theatre. Tickets are $20 - $50.

Dancing in the Park: Black Rock Dance Company - Thursday, July 15, 8 p.m. "Love, Life, Dance" will be presented at Wingfield Park amphitheater. Free.

Reno's Artown is the whole month of July.

Rollin' on the River Music Series - Friday, July 16, 5:30 p.m. This week it will be The House Jacks, billed as a rock band without instruments. I wonder how that works? Free.

Movies in the Park: The Secret Garden - Friday, July 16, 9 p.m. Bring low-back chairs or blankets to enjoy a free flick at Wingfield Park by the Truckee River.

Localmotive - Saturday, July 17, 7 p.m. At West Street Market, enjoy free interactive mural art, live music, dance performances, and more.

Roads & Rails: The Historic 4th Street Corridor - Saturday, July 17, 9 a.m. Walk along E. 4th Street (the old Lincoln Highway) and visit many historic sites. Call (775) 747-4478 for reservations. $10.

Art Paws & Bark Fest - Sunday, July 18, 10 a.m. Pets are encouraged to bring their people to the McKinley Arts & Culture Center for Artown's only dog-friendly event. There will be pet related products and services, a silent auction, paw painting booth, pet psychic, and music, food, and drink for the humans. Free.
