Arbor Day is Friday, April 30, and there is no better way to celebrate the beauty of trees than to get out and walk among them. If this sounds good, you can enjoy a free guided walk at the Wilbur D. May Arboretum on Arbor Day, led by Washoe County horticulturist Bill Carlos. The stroll starts at 11:45 a.m. and will last until about 1 p.m. The May Arboretum tree tour is hosted by Washoe County Regional Parks and Open Space with support from the Rancho San Rafael Botanical Society. Botanical Society members will serve refreshments following the walk.
