It seems to be in a somewhat secluded spot even though it’s out in the open so perhaps the daring might leave the door ajar because that is indeed a spectacular view.

Secluded doesn’t really describe it. This loo is way out in the Black Rock Desert. There could be no building at all and one would run little risk of being disturbed while attending to business.
