People who just can't stand to wait for the start of the regular Reno Aces baseball season can get a preview by way of the Reno Aces vs. UNR exhibition game scheduled for 6:05 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6. Besides just being fun for the fans, the game will give the Aces a live-action warm-up for the season opener on April 8 and provide UNR athletes an opportunity to compete against professional players.

In an exhibition format, Aces pitchers and catchers will play for both teams. The game will be between seven and nine innings with pitchers on a pitch count. If the count is reached, the game moves to the next half inning regardless of the number of outs. Only wood bats will be used.

Tickets, $13 for adults and $7 for kids, are available at the Aces Ballpark box office or by calling (775) 334-7000. Part of the proceeds go to the UNR Dugout Club to benefit Wolf Pack baseball.

The Reno Aces 2010 baseball season is set to begin on April 8 with a home game against the Fresno Grizzlies. Our Reno Aces have released their 2010 season schedule, complete with dates and game times. A total of 72 home games will include 30 played on weekends. Just like in 2009, there will be lots of promotions and special events at the ballpark, including the 4th of July fireworks show and game against the Sacramento River Cats. Four Triple-A teams not previously seen in Reno will play the Aces at home in 2010 - Omaha Royals, Iowa Cubs, Nashville Sounds, and Memphis Redbirds.
