Spring Skiing - Spring skiing is getting into high gear and all of the resorts are still going strong. You outdoors types can buzz up to Lake Tahoe and engage in a variety of winter sports activities.
Riverwalk Wine Walk - Saturday, March 20. The Riverwalk Merchant's Association sponsors the Wine Walk on the Riverwalk, the third Saturday of every month from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Walkers can purchase a map and wine glass for $20 and taste over a dozen different wines at merchants throughout the River Walk.

Last Chance to See the Girl - Sunday, March 21. This is your last chance to see The Woman with the Veil by Renaissance master Raphael, on exhibit at the Nevada Museum of Art (NMA) in Reno. The NMA is one of only three locations to host this exhibit in the entire U.S. NMA hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday. Polar Plunge 2010 - Saturday, March 20. Polar Plunge 2010 is a fund-raising event for Special Olympics Northern California & Nevada. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the plunge takes place at noon at Zephyr Cove on Lake Tahoe's south shore (just a few miles from South Lake Tahoe). Participants who raise a minimum of $100 will receive the official Polar Bear Plunge hooded sweatshirt and free admission to the post plunge party at the Mont Bleu Resort. "Animal Grossology" at the Wilbur D. May Museum - Ongoing though April 18. If it's really gross, kids usually love it, so this new interactive family exhibit is sure to be a hit. This fun way to learn natural science will feature some pretty yucky stuff and teach why gross can actually be good. How about slug and snail slime, dung beetles, leeches, and flies? If these don't interest kids, nothing will. The Wilbur D. May Museum is in Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, 1595 N. Sierra St. in Reno. Grossology hours are Wednesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $8 adults, $7 children under 18 and seniors 62 and over. Call (775) 785-5961 for details.
Reno Bighorns Basketball - Friday & Saturday, March 19 - 20. The Reno Bighorns host two games with the division-leading Rio Grande Valley Vipers this weekend. Tipoff for both is at 7 p.m. Grab a $2 beer and enjoy Eathan O'Bryant Night on Friday and the KRNV News 4 Bighorns Hat Giveaway on Saturday. Saturday is also this season's second Kids Night celebration. Members of Bruno's Kids Club receive a free ticket to the game and there will be children's games and contests throughout the evening. Spring Great Outdoor Days II at Cabela's - Saturday & Sunday, March 20 - 21. Cabela's and the City of Reno will celebrate the beginning of spring with "Cabela's Day" on March 20, featuring a series of events, seminars and demonstrations at the Reno store. There will be two days of demonstrations and seminars highlighting the diverse outdoor activities and recreational opportunities available in the Reno / Tahoe region.
