Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is re-emerging from the construction haze that has hovered over the facility for the last couple of years. Crews are currently in the final stages of removing the temporary ticketing structure that shrouded the front of the terminal and took out the traffic lanes next to the building. By March, the three traffic lanes will be back and the assorted hassles associated with the construction project should be history.

The outside of the terminal will again appear pretty much as it once did to long-time Reno/Tahoe residents. Inside, however, you'll enjoy a shiny new ticketing lobby and state-of-the-art baggage handling system designed to both speed up luggage shuffling and increase security. Let's hope it does both, giving travelers a more pleasant experience as they come and go through RNO.
