Valentine's Day 2010 falls on a Sunday, providing a whole day to engage in romantic pursuits. You can treat your loved one to a traditional candlelight dinner at a
romantic restaurant, or go for a little something extra, like a first-class show or a cruise on Lake Tahoe. And if getting married on Valentine's Day is in your plans, you might want to take a drive to Lovelock, 93 miles east of Reno on Interstate 80. At 3 p.m. in Lovers Lock Plaza, you can join a group wedding and vow renewal ceremony, then lock your love forever on the eternal chain. There's more about this unique event, and other marriage information, on my
Valentine's Day page.
If you are out of time and/or ideas, you can buy movie tickets through Fandango and take your honey to the cinema. If you're not sure which flick he or she will want to see, try a movie gift certificate - always a hit, and you can personalize these to suit the occasion.
