"Come in From the Cold" at Bartley Ranch Park - January 30. When it's freezing outside and the budget has taken a holiday beating, free family entertainment sounds pretty good. This Saturday evening, Beverly Colgan and Joe Venuto perform everything from bluegrass to Bach for an amazing musical experience. Doors open at 5 p.m. and shows start at 7 p.m. Seating is limited to 280 people. For more information, call (775) 828-6612.
"Animal Grossology" at the Wilbur D. May Museum - January 30 though April 18. If it's really gross, kids usually love it, so this new interactive family exhibit is sure to be a hit. This fun way to learn natural science will feature some pretty yucky stuff and teach why gross can actually be good. How about slug and snail slime, dung beetles, leeches, and flies? If these don't interest kids, nothing will. The Wilbur D. May Museum is in Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, 1595 N. Sierra St. in Reno. Grossology hours are Wednesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $8 adults, $7 children under 18 and seniors 62 and over. Call (775) 785-5961 for details.

great info…we may be headed that way this spring!
Man; is this material dated! No wonder Reno is experiencing a lack of tourism. RThese is very little to do in this town during the summer
You ran across a posting that’s two years old. There are plenty of things to do around Reno during summer and I occasionally post new weekend stuff like the old one you found. Check out this list of Reno’s big events and you’ll find lots going on.
