The nation inaugurated Barack Obama as our 44th president a year ago on January 20, 2009. The past year has been a rough one, to say the least. Two ongoing wars, an economic meltdown, high unemployment, health care reform, and natural disasters are just a few of the issues the president and country continue to face. The president has had mixed results in dealing with these concerns, though I'd say that's understandable considering the magnitude of the problems. It seems that everyone has something to say about the president's performance so far, from "He's doing pretty good considering what he inherited" to "Throw the bum out" and everything in between. How would you grade the first year of the Obama presidency? After voting, please leave a comment and tell us the reason for your grade.

His objective is to ruin this nation and it’s constitution. Pelosi and Reid have got to go. I know how much Nevada loves Reid but he’s a complete idiot.

Seems to me it was W and company who were working on ruining the country and our Constitution. Obama inherited a royal mess on several fronts. While I’m pretty disappointed about some things that have (or haven’t) happened so far, I’m never going to be ready to go back for another dose of the Bush years.
