"Be Cool @ Your Library" is the winter/spring reading program being presented by the Washoe County Library System. The event runs from January 1 through April 30, 2010. Children of all ages will be encouraged to read for fun and knowledge, with the added incentive of winning prizes and receiving a free book for each 20 hours of reading logged. Kids can sign up for this reading program at their local library branch or online at the Washoe County Library System.

Each library branch will also be presenting a variety of programs during this period. These will include presentations such as the didjeridoo by David Blonski, the Erika Paul Carlson Trio, magician Larry Wilson, a presentation about radon, a panel discussion titled "Answers to Today's Homeownership Challenges," and lots more. The library's online calendar of events has dates, branches, and details of everything going on. There is some great stuff for families and children, and its free.
