That is really breathtaking.
What an amazing shot! Stan, like all good photographers, must always have his camera with him. When you get a chance at a shot like this one, you don’t want to miss it.
Wow. I’ve never seen anything like that. I lived in Arizona for three years, but I must have been too high in the mountains or too unobservant. That is amazing.
The big stack is made of lenticular clouds. They are common over Reno, but such a huge example is unusual. There are some other examples in my Reno / Tahoe Sky Pictures.
