Book Sale Bonanza For The Washoe County Library

Book lovers, this is your big event of the year. It's the Friends of Washoe County Library sale of thousands of items for both adults and children, including books, videotapes, DVDs, computer software, cassettes, CDs, vintage records, magazines, and maps. You'll also find collectible and vintage books and recent best sellers. This is a bargain hunters delight, with prices starting at $1 for most hardback books and 50 cents for paperbacks.

The sale starts on Thursday, October 29, and runs through Sunday, November 8. Thursday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. is preview day for Friends members. If you aren't a member, you can join at the door.

The remaining days are open to the public during these hours:

• Friday, October 30: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  
• Saturday, October 31: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  
• Sunday, November 1: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  
• Monday through Friday, November 2 - 6: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  
• Saturday, November 7, Half-Price Day: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Sunday, November 8, Bargain Day: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pick your own bag of books for only $6 (Friends supplies the bag). Collectible and specially priced books will also be discounted.

The Washoe County Library Book Sale Bonanza will be at 5205 Mill St. at Edison in Reno (the old Excel Communications building). For more information, call (775) 327-8350.
