The Hot August Nights Foundation is holding its annual coat drive this Saturday, October 24. Drop-off locations are all Reno and Sparks area Burger King restaurants, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Look for Hot August Nights volunteers with their classic cars at these donation locations. Donors will get a coupon for a free Spicy Chick'n Crisp sandwich. Coats will benefit people in need throughout the community by being provided to the Good Shepherd's Clothes Closet, Boys & Girls Club of the Truckee Meadows, and O'Brien Middle School. A grand prize Hot August Nights gift basket will be awarded to the person who donates the most coats. For more information, call (775) 356-1956.

That evening, St. Anthony's Greek Orthodox Church, 4795 Lakeside in Reno, will be hosting a sock hop to benefit the Good Shepherd's Clothes Closet from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is $15 per person, $25 per couple. Coats will also be collected during the dance.
