This first Washoe County Volunteer Fair will be at Reno's Meadowood Mall on Saturday, September 12, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's your opportunity to hear about volunteer opportunities with over 20 organizations in Washoe County. Everyone with time and talent to lend to help improve the community is urged to attend. The Meadowood Mall is located in south Reno, just east of S. Virginia Street and running along the south side of McCarran Blvd.
Washoe County volunteer opportunities include park maintenance, legal defense volunteer, golf course marshal, foster and adoption assistance, working in a library, community emergency response team, and many more. There are also over 50 boards and commissions that rely on citizen involvement to perform their functions.
