The end of summer is sneaking up on us, though you couldn't tell by the weather of late. However, by the calendar we are approaching Labor Day and the traditional end of the summer season. With that in mind (and in consideration of budget constraints), Sparks Parks and Rec has announced reduced hours at the Sparks Marina swimming lagoon. Starting this Saturday, August 22, hours on weekends only will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., through September 6. On Labor Day, September 7, hours will be the same, then it's all over for summer 2009. For more information, call (775) 353-2385.
