Reno / Tahoe Weekend Fun

We've got a significant change in the weather coming up this weekend. Temperatures will cool down and it could be a bit blustery in places, especially up around Lake Tahoe. The bad news is that the winds will increase fire danger throughout the region, so please be extra careful when out and about the next few days. Events and outdoor fun will go on, however, with these activities among those from which to choose...

Hot August Nights: Reno's major yearly event rolls through the weekend, with free entertainment and car shows all over Reno and Sparks. The Official Parade on Sunday, along Virginia Street in downtown Reno, gets started at 10 a.m. Check the Hot August Nights schedule to find out what's happening and where.

Legends Reno-Tahoe Open PGA Golf Tournament: Reno's only golf tournament on the PGA tour is held at the Montrêux Golf and Country Club. Tickets can be purchased online or at the event.

2nd Annual Historic Downtown Truckee Arts and Crafts Festival: This free event will be in downtown Truckee from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The outdoor festival will feature more than 45 award-winning artists and crafts people with a wide variety of arts and crafts, including photography, oil paintings, ceramic vessels, jewelry and much more.
