Artown will have two pet-centric events this weekend. The Pawspective Art Show & Exhibit will be on Saturday, July 18, at the Nevada Humane Society, 2825 Longley Lane in Reno. The free event is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and open to everyone. Enjoy light refreshments while viewing the outstanding work of local artists and exhibitors including Tori Bowlin, Boyce Fine Art, Joe Corgile, Giovanni Design Studio, Kelley Groswird Photography, Traci Hiatt, Jane and Steve Johns, La Bussola, Lonnie Massolty, Christel Neldner, Elia Pirtle, Tell Tail Portraits, and Andree Smith. A portion of sales proceeds will benefit the Nevada Humane Society. Local guitarist Chris Herald and pianist Jo Marie Moore will provide musical entertainment during the event. For more information about attending and exhibiting at the show, call (775) 856-2000 x335.

On Sunday, July 19, Art Paws in the Park will play at the McKinley Arts & Culture Center, 925 Riverside Drive in Reno. Pets are encouraged to bring their people to this free event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be pet related products and services, a silent auction, paw painting booth, pet psychic, and music, food, and drink for the humans.
