As it properly should be, a new permanent exhibit at the Nevada Historical Society (NHS) is named Reno: Biggest Little City in the World. It was introduced in June and is open to the public in the Changing Gallery. According to curator Sheryln Hayes-Zorn, the new exhibit is the only one in Nevada devoted specifically to Reno, and it is fitting that it is housed in Reno, in Nevada's oldest museum.

At Reno: Biggest Little City in the World, visitors will find items from Reno's early days as a crossing point on the Truckee River all the way through to the 21st century city of today. Everything is specific to Reno and its colorful history - photographs, manuscripts, artifacts, gambling memorabilia, and art work.

The Nevada Historical Society is next to the UNR campus, just north of Lawlor Events Center and the Fleischmann Planetarium, at 1650 N. Virginia Street. For more information, call (775) 688-1190. Admission to the museum's galleries is $3 for adults 18 and over, $2 for seniors, and free to those under 18. Hours of operation are Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
