Among local students and projects at the fair, you'll see "Subcritical Neutron Multiplication in a 2.5 MeV Neutron Flux" by Taylor Wilson, "Water Shapes the Desert" by Christopher Heslop, and "Lichen as Indicators of Human Impact" by Christian Burleson and Amberleigh Thompson. Like I said, this is serious science, and the fair will give successful students a financial leg up to pursue their studies. The students will be available to talk with visitors from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will also be colleges and corporations displaying related information about science, engineering, and renewable energy.
ISEF is at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, 4590 S. Virginia Street in Reno, next to the Atlantis Hotel Casino. Parking is $7.
