The Mother's Day Arts in Bloom Festival at Sparks Marina will have a special guest on Sunday. Elliott Yamin, a season five finalist on American Idol, will be performing on stage at 1 p.m. Other acts scheduled include The Lorentzen Family Singers at 10 a.m. and R & B artists Escalade at 11 a.m. At noon, a celebrity-painted plate auction will include works by Olivia Newton-John, Olympians Jackie Joyner-Kersee and Dara Torres, artist Andre Miripolsky, Beetle Bailey cartoonist Mort Walker, singer Debby Boone, Maureen McCormick from "The Brady Bunch," Troy Lee from Troy Lee Designs and more. There will be lots of other activities for moms and families as well during Arts in Bloom, which is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call (775) 353-2291.
