Mother's Day is this Sunday and there are plenty of Reno / Tahoe things to do with mom. There is always shopping and eating out, but for something different try a Mother's Day train ride at the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City, or a cruise on Lake Tahoe aboard the M.S. Dixie II or Tahoe Queen paddlewheelers. It's also the final day of the Reno River Festival, which is an opportunity to take mom to the event, then brunch at one of many downtown Reno locations catering to Mother's Day dining. Whatever you do for the mother in your life, she deserves it.
