Opening day for the new Reno Aces baseball franchise is this Friday. The brand new stadium where the Triple-A Aces will play has risen from what was mostly a dirt lot in February, 2008. This first game, against the Salt Lake Bees, is already sold out. However, it's the first of an eight game homestand, so fans who did not get tickets to the opener can try for one of the subsequent games. You can purchase single-game tickets either in person, online from
RenoAces.com, or by phone at (775) 334-4700. The ticket office at the stadium is now open. Single-game ticket prices range from $7 to $29.
If you can't be there in person, but still want to follow the action, Reno Aces games will be on Fox Sports Radio 1450 AM. The announcer will be Ryan Radtke, who has been calling games for the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks for seven years. Radtke is also the radio announcer for UNR Wolfpack football and basketball games.
