Volunteers are needed for the 2nd annual Rock-n-River Marathon on May 3. The 2009 race brings a full and half marathon, 10K, and Kids Fun Run to downtown Reno and the banks of the Truckee River. From now through race day on Sunday, May 3, companies, organizations, and individuals are needed during the training fun runs, assisting with handing out goodie bags, manning aid stations, serving as traffic controllers, greeting runners crossing the finish line, and supervising the young runners participating in the Kids Fun Run.
Volunteers are invited to the athlete and volunteer dinner on Friday, May 1, at the Eldorado Hotel Casino at 7 p.m. Featured speaker will be Tim Twietmeyer, a Western States Endurance Run record holder from Auburn, CA.
