Hang on to your hats. As I write, the winds are kicking up and big clouds are rolling over the Sierra. A spring storm is bringing high winds and snow to the mountains around Lake Tahoe, with an accumulation of several inches through Sunday. The National Weather Service is calling for snow levels to drop over night, giving us a good shot at picking up some of the white stuff down here in the Truckee Meadows. Pack those chains if you are going to the high country, and check the latest weather and highway conditions before departure.
