To say that the Nevada employment situation is tough right now is a serious understatement. In Washoe County, unemployment has reached 11%, doubling in a year to the highest it's been since 1983. At 9.4%, the statewide situation is hardly any better. As bleak as it is, there are considerable resources around Reno / Tahoe to help job seekers in their quest for employment. More help may be on the way once some of that economic stimulus money starts filtering down to state and local levels. Stay tuned.
