WAC Basketball Tournament at UNR in Reno

The 2009 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Basketball Tournament will be played in Lawlor Events Center on the University of Nevada, Reno campus. The tournament starts March 10 with play-in games in both men's and women's divisions. Victors in these games advance to the main tournament of quarter final and semi-final games. The two teams left standing in each group play for their respective championships on Saturday, March 14. Winners of each series will earn an automatic bid to the big NCAA Tournament.

Our Nevada men's basketball team enters the tournament having won six of their last seven games. Two Nevada players, Luke Babbitt and Armon Johnson, are first team All-WAC players. Women's Wolf Pack player Dellena Criner is also an All-WAC pick. Through regular season play, both teams earned the right to wear their home colors on their home court. When you're at the games, be sure to cheer for the team in white.
