If you can't answer this question, don't feel bad. At the moment, there is no answer, but that is due to change. According to an article by Debbie Hadley, the About.com insect expert, Nevada's school kids are going to get a chance to pick a bug and fill this glaring omission in our state's officially recognized symbols. State Senator Joyce Woodhouse and Assemblywoman Lynn Stewart are working together on a bill to let students select the insect. Check out Debbie's article to learn more about what's happening and which critters might be suitable for selection as Nevada's state insect. I really like butterflys, so I'm pulling for the Reese River skipper.
