Rink on the River, Reno's downtown ice skating venue, shortened up its hours of operation starting January 5. With this cost-cutting measure, the Rink is now closed on Mondays, and weekday morning to early afternoon sessions have been eliminated. Weekend hours remain the same. It's not all bad news, though. According to a City of Reno press release, there will actually be more hours available for private rentals of the Rink. Lessons, private rentals, and existing group reservations will not be affected.

Rink on the River is in downtown Reno at the corner of First and Virginia Streets. Note that ATM and credit cards are not accepted for Rink admission or skate rentals - bring cash or a check. For additional information, call Noah at (775) 334-2262.
