Nevada Museum of Art Cutting Hours

Once upon a time, the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno was only closed on Mondays and national holidays (like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day). I just learned that starting January 6, it will also be closed on Tuesdays. The reason, of course, is to save some money on operating expenses during these tough times.

One of the current exhibits, Long May She Wave: A Graphic History of the American Flag, has been extended through March 15. This exhibit is composed of objects and artifacts from the private collection of Kit Hinrichs. I spent an afternoon immersed in this amazing display of Americana and found it highly enjoyable. Check it out - you won't be sorry.
