Reno's Top News Stories for 2008

Reno's top news stories for 2008 cover a wide spectrum of the news that's fit to print, and some that isn't but got printed anyway. We've seen history made with the 2008 election of Barack Obama, and deep tragedy with the case of Brianna Denison. Natural disasters like forest fires smoked out our region, and man-made disasters like the economic conflagration continue to burn down lots of hopes and dreams.

I know my list isn't a comprehensive review of 2008, but it includes events that made it big in the Reno news media, whether they were really important or not. There are, however, other important issues that for whatever reasons got only cursory coverage.
