The River School Winter Solstice Celebration is on December 21, starting at 4 p.m., at the River School in west Reno. This celebration will mark the shortest day of the year and the slow return to longer days as winter's darkness slowly transforms into the brighter days of spring. Come to the banks of the Truckee River to enjoy food and music around a warming bonfire. Bring a potluck dish and recipe to share. The River school is at 7777 White Fir St. in Reno.
