The Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority (RSCVA) recently announced that we've been chosen as the host city for the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Open Championships in 2011. The venue will be the expansive National Bowling Stadium facility in downtown Reno.

According to RSCVA President and CEO Ellen Oppenheim, booking this event will bring a big chunk of business that will be felt across the Reno / Tahoe region. Between an estimated 85,000 bowlers and 45,000 guests, the economic impact for local restaurants, hotels, shops, and tourist attractions will be around $127 million.
