If you are a family with children, flying during the holiday season should be a little easier this year. In a recent press release, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced the implementation of family lanes at every airport in the country. That includes, of course, our own Reno - Tahoe International Airport. The lanes are scheduled to be up and running by November 20.

The lanes are designed to allow families with children, those new to airport screening procedures, and special needs travelers to go through TSA security checkpoints in a less stressful and unhurried manner. The lanes will also be used to screen those who need to carry medically necessary liquids in containers larger than three ounces. To learn more, read the TSA family lanes news release. For more information, contact TSA Public Affairs at (571) 227-2829.
