Nevada Humane Society has a new Pet Adoption Center in Reno, in the Sierra Market Place at 3652 S. Virginia Street, Unit C-3. The grand opening ribbon cutting, performed by Washoe County Commissioner Kitty Jung, will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 1. There will be other opening events going on until 4 p.m., inclding photos with mini-horse Lucky Buck from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., raffles, food, entertainment, and an opportunity to have your pets microchipped for $20 by Nevada Humane Society veterinarian Dr. Vickie Swarowski.
