RTC Centennial Plaza Transit Center Opening in Sparks

The new RTC Centennial Plaza Transit Center at Victorian Square in Sparks is set to open for business on Sunday, October 26. At that time, RTC RIDE service changes will take effect, which include changed and discontinued routes, along with schedule changes.

Before the new facility opens for business, there will be a grand opening ceremony on Tuesday, October 21, at 11 a.m. The public is invited to enjoy building tours and refreshments. Centennial Plaza is located at the west end of Victorian Square in Sparks, on Victorian Ave. between 14th and 15th Streets.

Over in Reno, construction has begun on the new RTC 4th Street Station. It will replace the current CitiCenter station a couple of blocks away. This facility is designed to complement the new Triple-A baseball stadium currently being built a block away at 2nd Street and Evans Ave. The station is scheduled for completion in October, 2009.
