If you enjoy bike riding but aren't much into the high speed lycra thing, here's your chance to join like minded people for a leisurely ride by the Truckee River. City of Reno park rangers will be leading rides along the river trail each Wednesday evening through October 29. Rides start at 6 p.m. and depart from the National Automobile Museum parking lot. You will pedal east to the Sparks Alamo and return, a trip taking about an hour and a half. As fall colors start to engage the trees along the river, this should be a scenic ride indeed.

The National Automobile Museum is at the corner of Lake and Mill Streets in downtown Reno. The free parking lot is behind the museum and entered from Mill Street. For more information, call John at (775) 657-4634. There is no fee to participate in these rides.
