The first Washoe County Day will be this Saturday, September 13. Activities will center around Great Basin Adventure within Rancho San Rafael Regional Park in northwest Reno. Admission to Great Basin Adventure is free for Washoe County Day. The whole family is invited to have fun on the log flume ride and enjoy free popcorn and lemonade You will have the opportunity to learn about other Washoe County parks and the services they provide.

Other planned activities include a pet adoption display by the Nevada Humane Society, viewing of the Washoe County Sheriff's Raven helicopter, a visit from the Washoe County Library Mobile Book Library, guided tour of the Wilbur D. May Arboretum Botanical Garden, and more.
