Step back into Reno's past by taking a neighborhood walking tour with the
Historic Reno Preservation Society. These tours are fun and educational, acquainting you with a variety of distinct districts that have developed as Reno has grown from tiny river crossing to the bustling city of today. The September series of tours includes areas like the Newlands neighborhood, Wells Avenue neighborhood, Powning / Little Italy, and the Truckee River Walk. Walking tours are held on Tuesdays starting at 6 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays starting at 10 a.m. Call (775) 747-4478 to make required reservations for these popular tours. Space is limited and dogs are not are allowed. The cost is $10 per person, but it's free to Historic Reno Preservation Society members.
