Reno / Tahoe Farmers' Market season is winding down, but some markets are continuing through September and even into October. Look for late summer and fall vegetables and fruit at Shopper's Square, West Street Market in downtown Reno, Tamarack Junction, Reno Village Shopping Center, Whole Foods Market, and United Methodist Church in Sparks. Check my listing of markets up at Lake Tahoe and other areas for more. The area's biggest, Sparks Hometowne Farmer's Market, has closed for the year.

If my garden is any indication, you should find some excellent produce at these Reno / Tahoe markets. I'm picking lots of yellow crookneck squash, tomatoes, and green bell peppers. My green beans are a little anemic, but I think I'll still get enough for a few meals.

West Street Market in downtown Reno continues to take shape. The indoor part of the market is still scheduled to open in October with all of the spaces already leased.
