Nevada's primary election is Tuesday, August 12. It's already too late to register for the primary and to vote early. However, registered voters can go to the polls as usual between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on election day. If you did not receive a primary sample ballot and/or are not sure of your polling place, you can find it with the Washoe County Registrar of Voters polling places list. These will be the same polling places for the general election as well.

If you miss the primary and still want to register to vote in the November 4 general election, you have until October 4 to register by mail and October 14 to register in person. Nevada does not provide for online voter registration. You can do it by mail with this downloadable voter registration application. You can register in person at Nevada DMV offices, university campuses, some social services agencies, and county clerk / registrar of voters offices. In Washoe County, go to Registrar of Voters, 1001 E. Ninth St., P.O. Box 11130, Reno, NV 89520-0027.

Nevada provides for early voting. General election early voting begins October 18. Early voting locations and polling places for the regular election are provided on sample ballots mailed to registered voters. If you don't receive this information or want to confirm that you are registered to vote, call the Washoe County Elections and Voter Registration Center at (775) 328-3670, or search the online voter registration status / information.
