Two Nevada born athletes will be competing in the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games. Both men are proven competitors and have good prospects for bringing medals back to the United States.

Swimmer Klete Keller, born in Las Vegas, will compete in his third Olympics at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. At his first two Olympic outings in Sydney (2000) and Athens (2004), Keller won bronze medals in the 400 meter freestyle. As a member of the four man 200 meter freestyle relay team, he took away silver in Sydney and gold in Athens.

Triple jumper Aarik Wilson, born in Reno and a 2001 graduate of Fallon High School, qualified to compete in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He set a Hayward Field stadium record in the triple jump at the Olympic track and field trials in Eugene, OR, with a jump of 57 feet, 2 1/4 inches.
